PWC/PROPERTY COUNCIL RETIREMENT CENSUS

The PwC/Property Council Retirement Census is the most comprehensive aggregated data source about retirement villages in Australia.

The Retirement Census profiles the physical characteristics of villages, ownership details, business attributes (e.g. tenure, financial structure, operating overheads), sales, resident profiles (e.g. demographics, length of stay), and future development.

30 August 2019 – data collection closes

21-22 November 2019 – snapshot report released 

January 2020 – reports sent to participating village operators

How to participate

Any Australian retirement village operator can participate in the Retirement Census.  There is no cost to participate.

The data collection for 2020 has not yet commenced.

Village operators who are members of the Property Council, or who participated in the 2019 Retirement Census, will be contacted in due course to participate in the 2020 Retirement Census.

Village operators who are not Property Council members are welcome to participate in the Retirement Census – please register your details here and we’ll contact you in due course.

Aimed at investors, these Reports provide key findings from the Retirement Census in greater depth than the complimentary Snapshot Report.
